Default How to "Temporarly" Quiet my Pipes????

Here is a question, that I am some what embarrassed, to ask you guys.
I have just bought a 2012 awesome Street Glide.
I LOVE the Bike.....and how she looks.
The only problem with the Bike ( If it is really a problem? lol) is the fact.....that I have Vance and Hines Pipes on her.....that are really LOUD.....when I add any Throttle to them.
I park my Bike, in our Underground Parking at my Condo complex.
I leave for work early in the morning......and I feel realy really bad, for the Older Lady who lives directly above the Exit for our Underground.
I try to leave as quietly as I can.....BUT.....it is still really loud.
Is there any thing, that I can do Temporarly.....to quiet down the pipes.....until.....at least I get the Bike out of the underground.
I should mention......that there is a rather steep incline, while driving out of the underground......so.....it is not as if......I can coast or push the bike out.
Errrrrrr......I was thinking .......can I Baffle the exhaust for a few minutes by stuffing the Exhaust with some Socks or Steel Wool or Something......for just a minute or two.....until I am clear of the Underground???
No.......I do not want to Change the Pipes on her or put other Baffles into the Pipes.
I LOVE the Pipes....just the way that they are.......when on the Road.
BUT.......they do sound that much LOUDER at 6:00 AM in the morning.
I just need to put something int he Exhaust pipes....to Muffle the sound.....till I get it out of the Parking Garaage.
Does anyone have any ideas.
The bike would be running for about 5 minutes......till I clear our Condo.....and then......I would pull out....what ever I stuffed into the Pipes.
Does this make any sense at all?
Am I able to do this......without creating any other Problems for the bike....with increased temporary Back Pressure?
I just Feel Bad....and some what Guilty......for my Loud Pipes in the early AM.
But......I do not feel Bad or Guilty ...if they let the Texters and Cellphone users KNOW.....that I am right beside them, on the Highway!
I do Believe......that LOUD PIPES.....DO.....Help.....Save Lives.....and hopefully MINE!
But....I sure do not want to help Shorten .....an Older Ladies Life.....by disturbing her, in the Early morning hours.
Am I able to Stuff my Exhaust......for a short period of time......to make them a lot less Loud?
Your Help and "SOUND" LOL.....Advice ...would be Greatly appreciated!
I have a 6:00 AM start time for Monday morning!!!

I think you're out of luck unless you want to change out the pipes, which I know you said you didn't. I leave my house really early as well and I just start it and go, no warming up, and just ride it very carefully until it gets to operating temperature.

I don't think you want to stuff anything into the pipes.

Might get some baffles for it. More of a PITA to install, and uninstall quickly. But it may be your only choice.

Which model V&H pipes do you have on her?

If they are short pipes, those be the loudest. So maybe there are other options that still let you keep the rumble.

I believe you are overthinking the problem.

The old(er) lady is probably hard of hearing and doesn't even hear your bike or she's already awake and not bothered by it.

It is nice of you to care about the welfare of others but the situation is what it is. When you leave, just don't rev the engine. Ride out as quiet as you can until you are on the open road.

Worry about it if someone complains or they can move. Does your bike set off any of the car alarms while underground?

Give her a couple bottles of red.. Sure she won't hear it and will enjoy the sleep!
