Default Matching Helmet

Easy question.

Get a helmet that matches the bike's color scheme or not?

I'd say, why not? If you're going to wear a helmet then it might as well be as cool as the bike, right?

Me personally, sure if the bike is flat black.
Other than that.. nah.

Sportbikes.. Yeah it's cool.. Goes with the racing motif.
But with Harley's.. it's all about the bike.. The rider is a necessary accessory. hehe
The rider could be the fattest ugliest meanest looking old dude with a beard a mile long with bugs in it, and people still go..
"Wow.. Cool Harley!"

I never planned on buying a helmet that matched my bike, I just bought a helmet that I thought would go with the Harley theme. In other words, I didn't buy a multi-colored motocross helmet to wear with my black Harley. My helmet is flat black with lighter black ghost flames on the side. Works for me.

Let me try and sum it up for ya.
Get what you like.

Excellent point.
If I see a helmet I like, there ya go.
It might have viking horns on it like a cross between an avid NFL fan and a crazy nut at Sturgis, but ok.

Helmets seem to get scratched, beat up, and otherwise looking like crap pretty quickly. I wouldn't put the money or effort into it myself.

I bought my lid before my Night Train. I decided to go with flat black... not necessarily to match the bike, but just because it looks cool to me!

Cheers!

Get what you like...as long as it's fits correctly and you like it - that's all that counts.
