Helmet/No Helmet?
#111
RE: Helmet/No Helmet?
With the new law here in Colorado, I have to until I'm 18 in May. I never wore a helmet before, and I found out about the new law after I was pulled over. The police officer gave me a $150 fine and 3 points on points on my license. After I was able to prove I had no idea, he ended up giving me a waring. All in all, I hate helmets, and let those who ride decide!

RE: Helmet/No Helmet?
I seldom wear one but cannot say never because I travel into and through states that require them. I also wear one if it is very cold or raining hard. These helmet threads are funny, but a waste of time. I checked the last choice.

Wonder how responses would change if a requirement was added stating that anyone not wearing a helmet, involved in a crash resulting in head trauma, would have no insurance coverage for any injuries resulting fromnot wearing the helmet? Seatbelts should be the same too....

Let's see how we rank.
Let's see how we rank.
We often look at these sorts of decisions as only affecting us. "If I die its my business". Unfortunately sometimes dying is the best thing we can do for our loved ones who can be left with nothing more than a vegetable to care for and visit in the hospital. I had a brain injured uncle who had the mentality of a 5 year old, not recognizing his own parents or kids. He lived like that for over 30 years before choking to death on his own mattress stuffing in an institution.
Is our personal freedom really worth the risk of putting our loved ones though such pain.Wear a helmet. Do it for THEM.
