Yeah, I'm from the school that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". The 1200 C gives me enough performance to make me grin.

I went with a 95 build on my 04 RK last year. The performance increase was drastic for overall torque and get up an go on the highway w/ a passenger. I think it was well worth the $$.

Pretty much because we're guys and that's what guys do whether it's a bike, car, house, home stereo system or anything else we normally get our hands on. I think it has to do with genetics, yes, that's my explanation, rooted in science.

The extra ponies help the 88 incher pull through the hills when faced with such a feat.

I use to ride a 1984 FXSB 80 cubic inch shovelhead. Worked fine and got me up and down the highway great. I regret ever getting rid of it. It kept up just fine with the EVO's...didn't own it when the twin cams were around.
I then started riding EVO's for along time and really liked them. They were all 80 cubic inches and never punched out. I always got to where I was going and then some...such as the FXRT.
I came across the 1999 FXDS-Conv with the 88 twin cam. Yes, it has more power than the 80 EVO ever did. When the cam bearings went out on a rode trip and left me totally stranded...and the bike only had like 20,000 miles on it. I realize that was the first year and that problem has since been resolved...but it still left a bad taste in my mouth. You don't really notice the power increase until you are out in the open though. It does not matter how large the engine is in the city...because you are still in the city.
As much as I liked the twin cam power...I still find myself riding EVO's as you can tell by my name. It is not about getting there fast, but the experience getting there...and my experience with bigger didn't get me there.

Not to get off the subject but now that i have a 95in on the low rider and the 110 on the ultrai'm trying to figure out how i can juice up the craftsman rider. I just can't figure out how to get that 103 to fit in the same place as it's20hp. I'll be looking fora modest 110hp and maybe 100 lbs of torque.
