In California a drunk driver with no other criminal record that kills someone gets ten years minimum and must serve at least eight.

He is survived by two sons. I cannot imagine.
I'll keep an eye on this one when it comes to sentencing or trial. Hopefully I was incorrect on the word "minimal". It just seems frustrating around here in the Kansas City area when a recent "distracted" teen driver got 2 days of jail for her accident that resulted in a death. And, another driver got 0 days, because her laywer successfully argued that her sneeze was the cause in the death of another driver.
I try not to dwell on every motorcycle death, but this one had the twist of his wife and daughter. Then, the story mentioned that he was a Harley rider that loved his bike, went to swap meets, etc.
