Anybody own a trike
I have old back injuries that make it hard taking long trips and am considering a touring but talked to someone who has a little more old back injuries then me that has a trike and loves it,I never thought I would consider one and always considered them a old fart bike but since I am definately not getting any younger and concerned that I might have trouble riding in a few years a trike might keep me on the road for many years longer then if I only had two wheel bikes. Anybody have one and how do they like it

I've got a really good friend who rides one.
If it keeps you in the wind, and your comfortable....
Who cares what anybody else thinks?
Do what is best for your situation, life's too short. Enjoy your ride!

Just drove a trike last week at the Demo truck. Some aspects of the trike were really cool, but I do not think it had as good a ride as a 2 wheeler.
You really need to muscle it through the corners, and since it has 3 wheels, you hit more bumps.
On a straight smooth road it did really well.

got a 2010 Tri that the wife rides.....I've been on it quite a few times and when I can't hold my two up anymore...i'll go with a trike....Can't say that the ride is any smoother than 2 wheels...depends on the road. I can miss bumps in the road that she can't on the trike, but the trike does ride pretty good....not sure if it would help with a bad back....I would find a dealer with a used one and rent it or take it for a test ride to see what you lumbar thinks about it....

Here's a trike kit site to turn any Harley into a Trike. I'm in the Belmont area JunkYard.
