Default Not a good idea

My wife had a TriGlide for several years, and I rode it some. My bike at the time was an Ultra Classic. If your back is sore, it will hurt a lot more on the trike than on a two wheel touring bike. The rear suspension is much stiffer in the first place. But the main problem is that when you hit a bump, it is usually with just one of the rear wheels, not both. So, this causes the trike to sharply jerk you to one side or the other, making your pain much worse. Sometimes, you even hit a bump with one rear wheel, then quickly hit another bump with the other rear wheel, jerking you back and forth in rapid succession. That can be murder on a sore back.

My wife had the same experience, but she had no back issues, so she could deal with it.

I hope you can find a better solution.

a friend had a four wheel motorcycle one on the front and three on the rear
the center wheel did the pulling and the other two were for stability. It use
to **** him off if I called them training wheels he would let me know in no
uncertain terms they were out riggers not training wheels. So you might
Google motorcycle out riggers or something like that, and see what you think.

I'll have to disagree with that. Although my trike is not suitable for touring unless you keep to the side streets where you don't have to go faster than 45. My '58 servi car is far smoother than my softail. The pogo seat on the thing is fantastic.

That is one nice looking Servi Car! I remember when the local Ford dealer had one to pick up and return customers' cars. Trikes are hot sellers down here. They are all over the place. Also bring top dollar, both new and used.

2002flstc that is a sweet servi car! There is no seat more comfortable than a Harley pogo!

Junkyard, I have a softail trike with a sprung seat. It is very comfortable but it probably was a little more comfortable as a bike. The solid rear axle transmits road irregularities harsher than the stock rear end because the axle acts as a side to side lever in addition to the up & down suspension movement. Still, I have no back pains with it.
