Default Changing Pipes... ViEDs or Tuner.?

Hey

I have a 2012 Street Bob and I'm getting ready to throw a set of Samson BG3 pipes on her.

My question is can I go with something as simple as the ViED or should I go with the Fuelpak or something different?

*I'm not going to be making a monster... maybe an air cleaner in the future but that's it*Thanks!

If the pipes and an ac is all that you plan than I would say vieds are fine. That is my plan. If you think anything else in the future, a tuner would be the way to go.

I got both pipes and an AC and wanted the street tuner, since there's now way, money wise, I'll do any engine work. But, it wasn't compatable to my bike, so they gave me the race tuner, at the cost of the street tuner! I guess for what I'm doing, it's no big deal.

Just had a pair of SE255's fitted, I already had a big sucker intake and V&H slip-ons, my only tuning upgrade was a pair of Xieds, so I was interested to see how my bike would respond without a tuner or download.
Well guess what, it's runs as sweet as a nut and pulls like a train. I am amazed as I thought the minimum I would need would be a dealer download or failing that a custom tune and tuner.
Guessing Xieds do the trick in richening the mixture, I will give the plugs another pull after about 100 miles but so far don't think I am going to need to spend another dollar

hi,

thats good news and feedback man, would love to see a photo of your plugs

alot reckon plugs are no indication of whats happening with your motor but i reckon they still a valuable piece of information

many owners are still waiting for there stock lean bikes to blow up after 50,000miles! hehehehehe

lot of hype and fear

thanks
