You could just remove all the bolts......that will lighten the bike...make it faster...and it will get better mileage too.

Just a thought.

try putting a piece of plastic between the bottom of your jiffy stand and the concrete floor

This is exactly what a friend told me to do.He called it electrolysis (NO NOT HAIR REMOVAL). He explaind that it is becaure the bike is grounded because the jiffy stand is touching the cement or ground. Inturn it allows natural electrical current to flow through out the bike (to and from) when this happens and there are two non similar metals that are touching one anotherit will cause them to corrode.

Boy I would be pissed. I have had 17 metrics and none of them ever had a single bit of chipped pain, oxidation, never backfired, no electrical problems, no transmission problems, even the tires never wore out or showed signs of age. In fact after 1,000,000 care free miles on each bike they all were in showroom condition and their resale value was double what I paid for them.

Yep.I was told the almost the same thing by my broinlaw except it had to do with draining the battery.
Maybe this is why HD sells the jiffy stand coasters.

You are wasting way to much energy fretting over oxidating hardware. You ever hear of stainless steel. What makes a Harley unique are the little touches we all add.If this bothers you so much change them out and you will live a little longer. You will be glad you did in the end.
