Question How many miles did you put on your bike this year?

Can't help but wonder how many miles most people ride per year ?? We ride only on weekends and just got home from our ride, I noticed the mileage from July 4 2012 to 2013 was almost 9K .... What's your norm ?

I slacked off last year and only rode about 20,000 miles. I'm usually closer to 30,000.

Every time this comes up we argue about who gets the most miles. Right off the bat, this should be separated into two categories: Working and jobless/retired. Then, if the bike is your only transportation or not. Then, perhaps, married or single.

Anyway, 6k last year for me. Car-pool most of the time with the wife, work 40 minutes away and I avoid the rain if I can (but cold doesn't stop me). Even if I rode to work every single day of the year and then again after I got home (ignoring all the family/homestead responsibilities) I'd be lucky to get 12k in. Yeah, excuses, but there you are.

This year has been crappy for me. I have like 500 if that. I was away for 3 months for some training, then the bike broke down. Then 4 days after I fixed it I got hit so its sitting in some garage. I try to average 6000 a year and that is mainly just riding to and from work. I don't get a lot of free time get out

10K a year for me. I leave home in a company van and back home in van. If I worked in the shop I would be riding the bike daily to shop.

Usually about 1/2 of a front and 1 Rear tire a yr. Thats 9-10 K miles a year in tire life.

Did I miss something...is it winter already??? Just wondering because these "my dick's bigger than yours" threads usually crop-up in Nov - Dec during riding hiatus.

Been averaging around 25K usually one long trip (5K or so) a year and the rest just staying in the S.E. states. And Iceman, I don't know who has the biggest dick but at 66 years old -I don't really care( :
