Default ditch the spokes

any ideas on a retro looking mag or anything? I have searched and don't see anything yet, but am tired of the money/maint, that spokes require. Thing is both my scoots are old uns. (well, one is an 06 but an FLSTSC)the other i'd probably keep spokes as it has been now for almost 50 years!

Well, ya gotta keep the spokes on the '67. Although I've seen some cast wheels that look decent and I see why guys would rather go tubeless, I'm a laced wheel guy. Always loved the look and that's all I ever had on my bikes for 35 years.
I really don't see that they're all that costfull or much of a maintenance PITA. I just keep the rims clean and only do the spokes about twice a year. (I have zinc coated spokes)

If ya get some ideas on cast wheels, post them up.

I went back and forth on this too, even to the point of looking at some Glide wheels that would have been a sweet deal but I stayed with the spokes. I bought a spoke torque wrench and check all my spokes every 5K miles and no problems. I would love to have had tubeless but oh well.....

I ditched the spokes on the FLSTC within a year of purchase. The spokes would loosen and wheel would be out of true. I went with the slotted six spoke HD wheels. I am about to ditch the spokes on the FXST and go with the same wheel. I wanted the black and polished Thunderstar, but it seems they are discontinued.

You can find them on eBay and Amazon, but they're getting hard to find. Some dealers have old stock of them. Latus Motorsports in WA. may be a place to look.

Just swapped out my front for a Reaper for the time being, wanted a change.
Certainly easier to keep clean.

I have already bought the six spokes. Couldn't find anything on eBay but never thought about checking Amazon. It seems like HD is phasing out most of its stuff from the P&A catalog for anything older than 2007.

I did this too. I think they are a nice clean looking basic wheel.

maybe it's the springer? I have had the old 67 as a daily rider and only one till I got this in 06. I dont have a torque spoke wrench, maybe I'll get one and be religious about maint. I still can't wrap my head around a mag for this look.
