My Bad, I thought we were talking about LUGGING the motor which has nothing to do with Tune, if the discussion is about PINGING whale riding with out Lugging then YES getting a tuner and the proper Map will solve most ping and popping problems BUT LUGGING PING is a result of OIL DISTRIBUTION within the motor and running the motor with a Proper Tune will not eliminate LUGGING PING- because a proper tune deals with Fuel and air mixture it has No effect on the oil or the Pump!

So your saying that if your motor is running at 2500 rpm's, and you crack the throttle and it pings, that it's because you don't have enough oil pressure?.,,

WOW it seems to be getting pretty heated on this thread!

As I read the OP, his bike only pings when he lugs it. IMO... he does not need a tune, he needs to ride the bike in the proper gear to keep the rpm's up.
