Always loved the Rat bikes and the characters that ride them.We have met a lot of them over the years, they are fun to ride with some you do not want to ride behind if the smell of oil bothers you.

Shiney new Harleys are a dime a dozen. And they're basically the same no matter the mods. Rats are unique. You can't buy patina and character in a P&A catalog.... at least not yet.

I like Rat bikes that got there by accident over years of riding. The owner never intended it to be a rat bike....he didn't sand the paint off and let it intentionally rust just for the look.

Those bikes pictured here aren't rat bikes in my opinion. They're trash bikes. They share a similar quality, just minus all the useless junk.

Those bike pictured here have been called rat bikes for at least 40 years. Don't know what the "new" definition is.

Saw several Ratt bikes in Leesburg this spring. I love them. I ride mine everyday and cant afford all the new replacement parts so Ratt it just may be some day. Didn't know you were supposed to wash em. Thought you were just supposed to ride em.
