I use Cycle Care, it goes on like armour all but dries nice and lasts longer than the S100. I did the jugs & fins on my new build before I fired it up, and they still look like new. (2 years ago)

WD-40 works well. And, it smells cool when the engine warms up, sort of a freindly machine shop smell....

I'll bet that oily stuff works great for collecting dirt and grime.

it would if it were oily. WD is not oily, like machine oil. my black stuff doent get dusty and I live in OK, where everything is dusty

I was told to use tire shine. Workers great and doesn't make the black shiny at all, but cleans it right up and makes it black again.
