Here's two different solutions that you can choose from:

1. Quit complaining and contribute relative pictures to the thread.

-- or --

2. Pay to upgrade my Photobucket account, then you'll never have to wait on my bandwidth to recover.

Air cleaner on the left side, short primary, no oil tank under the seat: it's a 45.

Looking at the crude around what's left of the primary you're probably right , nice catch on the oil bag .

When he first posted them, they all showed.
I've never tried to post a hundred pictures like he did but ImageShack seems to work every time.

That would be about right. The protective tariff was done by Reagan in '83. HD had just been bought back from AMF for the '82 model year and they were struggling. Somewhere in there ***** G and the others went to bed one night in Milwaukee thinking that the next morning they were going to file a bankruptcy petition. I bought a 5-speed,shovelhead FXRS in the fall of '82 thinking that HD wasn't going to make it and at least I'd have one to keep. But things happened quickly for HD...the successes of that FXRS, Softail intro in '84, belt drive in '85 on 5-speed dressers, EVO motor in '84 and the company asked for an early end to the tariffs. Great PR and HD was off to the races from then on.
