helmet cameras

This is what I use my everyday regular digital camera 32gig sd and cheap handle bar mount from Wally World. easy to take on and off so there is no bulk. works great for me

I have a GoPro Hero3 Black and really like it. It's the first & only one I've used so, I can't compare it to anything else. I've never mounted it on my helmet because I don't like the way it looks. I have an 08 SG that really vibrates at certain rpms so, no matter where I mount it, I usually have to run the raw footage through a program ($20) to remove the shake. Surprisingly though, the still pictures come out really clear.

That bar mount looks pretty solid though I do get a lot of vibration off center on the handlebars when stopped and then there is the windshield to contend with. Thinking about the curved adhesive mount to the windshield or top of helmet. If anyone uses the adhesive mount do you also use a tether of some type?
I use an external microphone and stick it on the rear fender. It's just held on with duct tape so there's no issue with the paint being damaged.
This gives almost no wind noise and a clear sound of the engine.
