This is what I use my everyday regular digital camera 32gig sd and cheap handle bar mount from Wally World. easy to take on and off so there is no bulk. works great for me

I have a GoPro Hero3 Black and really like it. It's the first & only one I've used so, I can't compare it to anything else. I've never mounted it on my helmet because I don't like the way it looks. I have an 08 SG that really vibrates at certain rpms so, no matter where I mount it, I usually have to run the raw footage through a program ($20) to remove the shake. Surprisingly though, the still pictures come out really clear.

I too have a GoPro Hero3 and I use the chesty mount. The footage is bar none and there is no vibration at all.

This past Saturday I changed the mount for my GoPro to this. It makes it a bit more compact and less cluttered. It's mounted under the mirror stem. When I have the windshield on, I just rotate the mount so that the camera is 'looking' to the left of it rather than thru it.

I use an external microphone and stick it on the rear fender. It's just held on with duct tape so there's no issue with the paint being damaged.
This gives almost no wind noise and a clear sound of the engine.
