Default Watch out for trucks backing up

This knuckle head was on his phone and did not hear meet honking and revving the engine. I got off when the back wheels started to hit the front of the bike.

I was too close to him by the time I realized what he was doing. We were at a stop sign in the right hand turn lane.

I always pull to the side so there's no way they can't see me in their mirror. Looks like he couldn't see you?

Why was he backing up in the first place?

I always leave over a car length between me and the vehicle in front of me when stopping in traffic.
