I put this gage on today and really like it except since I dont have the football air cleaner the supplied black plastic oil line has no where to hide, is ugly, and is too short to route it to make it look nice. ThanksChris

RE: Oil Gage braided steel line?
Yes, it will fit.
You might as well order part 740-795 while you're at it. That Harley gauge will take a dump sooner or later. Probably sooner...

I went through two H-D liquid filled pressure gauges before I got smart and purchased the Auto-meter.
The H-D gauge is JUNK! Have you noticed the zero pressure reading while your scoot is hot and at idle in the Summer? Has it dumped it's fluid on your engine yet? And who uses a plastic line next to a hot engine and pipes?
The AM gauge is much more accurate and wont fail. Had mine fora few years with zero problems. Oh...and that steel line your looking at is top notch, I have one too.
Sorry for the rant...guess I'm still a little pissed about that H-D gauge. <-----Duh!

I've been looking at the Arlen Ness gauge kit. I wonder if the gauge is similar in the Ness kit? Would you recommend making the gauge and line up from separate parts?

Although very pricey, I’ve herd nothing but good things about the Ness kit. If the quality is there, I see no reason to mix/match parts.
If you go with H-D, You pretty much have to buy the parts mentioned above. I think it works out cheaper this way? I can’t remember the price with Ness?
