I only considered complexes that offered garages. It's an extra $50 a month but well worth it.

If you have room in your parking area for it, check out a Bike Barn.

I live in a 2nd floor apartment. The bike is in secure (let's hope) underground parking locked with a Bike Brace, under a cover, with the alarm on; insured to the t***.

if you have the parking available i used to keep mine in a 5 x 10 enclosed trailer. you can find them new for about $1800 or used for much less. nose it in, put jackstands under the rear and a tongue lock on the hitch. you can load and unload without having to hitch to your vehicle. put absolutely no decals indicating what you have inside. my trailer had large decals that say "danger--live rattlesnakes".

That's awesome! Do the women in your life get on your case about the bike in the apartment? I've thought about doing the same thing. I live in an apartment with a parking garage- it's sort of open on the sides though, and a little bit of the weather blows in through the sides. I sprayed my bike down liberally with that S100 corrosion protectant and covered it up. This is the first time I've stored somewhere other than a totally enclosed garage. I don't like it, but it's the best I can do right now.

Well it'll make it alot easier to talk her into sex on the bike in the apartment rather than that nasty roadside reststop. hehe
