Something I could never understand why riders like to dress their bikes up with flames and skulls. Because its cool and evil?:P I know some will defend and hate me for asking. But why distract from the bike itself?

Feels so trailer trash...doh, I am asking for it haha...jk

But serious...for those who dig it, why?

My wife is a "skull-er". Her winter face hoodie thing has skulls, her house key has skulls, she has shirts that have skulls. I have zero.

 

What if you have one bike with skulls and another bike with flames?? This makes it better, right? Actually, thinking about it, I don't know why we love skulls and flames. We just do =)

 

I don't mind folks that like to slap the skulls on thier stuff. I have noticed that alot of stuff for HD's does come with skulls all over it though. I'm not talking about HD branded parts specifically but just aftermarket parts in general. I looked through a Drag catalog the other day and they're everywhere!

 

I feel the same way. And I too am a bit of a hypocrite (see avatar). But really why paint a skull on your bike? That's a dead decomposed human. Who was he when he was alive?

And flames!! Ok, I get it on a hot rod. They paint the flames behind the wheel wells to make it look like the car is burning out so hot flames come off the wheels. That I understand. I don't get painting your gas tank with flames. To me a burning gas tank can only be a bad thing, get a fire extinguisher.

 

These skull threads are getting as numerous as oil threads. Skulls make me feel like a badass and nobody fks with me 'cause they're scared shitless. Chicks dig 'em, I get laid all the time. How's that?
