Stopped by the HD shop today and on my way out to my vehicle, there was this guy just getting off what was an older model white pearl Heritage. The guy had a grin from ear to ear. I mean, he was literally beaming. It was as if he had just been told a secret and was just dyin' to share it with somebody; anybody!

Given that he had parked his bike in the general direction to which I was walking, I gave him the usual, "Nice bike" comment as I walked on by. That's all it took. He took that as a sign to tell me ALL ABOUT his new (to him) bike. I got a kick out of how enthused (rightfully so, mind you) he was as he told me what he had put on and added thus far, how much he paid for it (used), and what his plans were for future modifications, etc etc. The guy was sooooooooooooooooooo proud of his new bike. We literally sat and shot the breeze for a good 30 minutes or so; mainly my just listening to what was a very happy new Harley owner. It was cool. Really cool.

I guess we're all like that to some degree. No matter how long I've had any Harley, I've never grown tired of just stepping back and 'checking it out' for none other than to take in what I consider to be one bad *** piece of machinery. Talking with that guy today, sharing his enthusiasm for his new bike, made me feel really good about Harley's and many of the people associated therein.

Its pretty cool being around the dealership when someone is picking up their bike for the first time. Especially when its me
I love talking with a new owner, it does make you feel even better being part of the "club"

Second to actually owning a Harley is talking about one! I love talking to people I meet, as well as the circle I ride with, about the "sport".Sharing that kindred spirit.

Good "therapy" I must say.

 

Yea, life is good.............

 

Makes me want to go out and buy another Harley. Who am I kiding, everthing make me want to buy another one.
