if you had only one jacket
what would you choose to go with, I live in ohio and carry a mesh and a rain jacket. pullover windbreaker, and a sweatshirt, in the summer, then when it drops below 60 use a leather, I would like to go to one jacket and a liner thinking about tourmaster or firstgear, in a 3/4 instead of the bomber type and would like some recommendations

Your question, and it's choices, seem to be based around rider comfort.
I was always told to dress for the crash, not the ride.....
I'll keep my leather on until 90 degrees when I break down and go to a long sleeve T.

I wear a heavy leather jacket that has extra layers in the shoulder and elbows. The front of the jacket (including the front of the arms) zips off in one piece and transforms into a mesh jacket. With a heated jacket liner and my rain gear I'm ready for anything. Its the best setup I've had in my 40+ years of riding.

Olympia Switchback--comes in a few different colors.
I ride with the liner and a thermal shirt down to 40 degrees. Liner out is good to 100 degrees--flows a lot of air.
Armor in elbows, back and shoulder--I upgraded the back armor to SAS Tec.

I've been wearing a tourmaster 3/4 length and am pretty happy with it. It has armor repels the rain well (been thru a few downpours) and has plenty of zipper vents. It also has a zipout liner. I've worn it in temps as high as 98 and low as the upper 20's with no complaints.

Don't have the switchback jacket, but swear by their Airglide jacket. Good company and good products.
