I'm trying to convince Jabo to get some goats or sheep to put in our huge yard so we don't have to mow it! I don't think our neighbors would approve, though!!

Is it possible? For the last week or so while getting my dailyriding fix(usually 140 or so miles in the morning time, 9:00am till around noon) I find myself going an extra few miles, blowing off any chance of accomplishing much at the house by returning home after 4:00pm. Today while riding it entered my mind maybe I am riding too much? Maybe I should ride home and do some work around the house? Maybe I should take a day or twooff from riding?

Thank God I came to my senses and snapped out of it Immediately and just kept on riding. Made it home around 5:00pm with a sun burned head.

Has anybody else ever had a terrible thought like that pop up in their head? Seems just wrong. Do I need to seek out a good therapist?

Theres no such thing as riding motorcycles to much!

I rode 70,000+ miles in 2006 and it was NOT enough"

I've rode between 40 and 100,000 miles a year most
of my life and it is NOT enough.

I have friends that ride over 100,000 miles a year every
year and they wish they could do more then that...

I took the day off yesterday and showed a friend of mine
from Florida the SC.NC.GA. mountains to the tune of 500
miles.
(he did 600 miles,he is staying about 50 miles from me)

Was it enough HE!! NO" Was it FUN? You BET"

But theres always more to see on every ride!!

Riding too much? I don't know if you can ride too much. It depends on how you feel about your responsibilities as a home owner. As much as I love to ride my motorcycle, I will not neglect my home.
Today I did not go for my morning ride, now I feel guilty as hell for wasting a perfectly sunny warm day, maybe I will take an evening ride. I do agree with you about not neglecting the house I did for awhile andhave been paying for it the last 6 months. Pretty soon my projects around the house will be caught up and all will be good. No more guilty feelings about the house. I have removed almost all plants, bushes, (tree's, hurricanes removed those) and only have two palms in the front and one in the back. where the flower and bushes were there is marble chip rock.

I have had Pedro cut the lawn for the last 7 years,True Green taking care of the fertilizing and weed killing

I sure as hell haven't been doing to much riding this month! If it was warm enough, I was working, if it was cold and snowy, I was off.

Come on spring!!!

My home projects don't bother me. But, I have two little girls (4 years old and 5 months old). I love riding, and ride all I can. But, not at the expence of spending enough time at home. When they are older My wife and I hope to be in the place some of you guys are. 70k a year sounds great! I say RIDE ON! Life is too short to wory about the material things.

Tim;

I had my two daughters riding with me from 3 days old
("not popular with the in laws or my family at all")

I/we took them every where riding motorcycles, I don't
remember my highest mileage riding year when they were
little ones but I'd bet on around 50,000 miles. My kids
spent their whole child hood on motorcycles and at race
tracks when I road raced and drag raced for a living.

They told me growing up, they loved the motorcycle riding
and my racing motorcycles because it made for some great
stories to tell at school to the other kids that had so called
(normal parents) LOL"

Go ahead get your kids on the motorcycle with you, I promise
you it will be some of the BEST memories you will have to look
back on in your old age as I do. There is nothing sweeter then
the look on a small childs face when they are seeing and
learning the wonders mother nature for the first time in their
lives from the back of a motorcycle... IMO!

Once you see that look.. You'll know what I mean!

Ride safe and hug the girls real tight at least once every day
and tell them you love them, because they will be grown
ladies before you can blink twice! (Trust me on this one")
