Ok, I think I'm in. I said I wouldn't do it if it was 400 miles, but Neptunes is less. Not sure I can do 800miles in a day and hang out, so who can recommend a place for me to stay Saturday night...Somewhere that I don't have to worry about the bike.
I guess I'll be taking the scenic route... anyone else from up here wanna take a trip?

Check out places in Camarillo on the 101. You can go out to the ocean from there and hit Neptunes from the north(Camarillo is just a couple of miles inland and not too very far from Neptunes). Camarillo is a nice area, and Ventura Harley is out there too.

And you'll be close enough a couple of us might come have dinner with you ( if your a good boy)

Malibu is supposed to be enforcing their zero tolerance on loud pipes, not giving out exhaust fix it tickets but instead non-fix it fines. Has that changed, or still in effect?

I've never had a problem nor had Hubby (his pipes are a lot louder then mine). Then again we mind our own business and don't spend time showboating that could be the key.

I never had a problem either, but I haven't ridden PCH in Malibu, or Latigo, Mulholland, etc, in over a year (used to be my back-yard before I moved up to the high desert years ago). Then over this past summer/fall, word started getting back to us here at the bike shop about the Malibu crack down on pipes. About the time that Stout started issueing EPA violations up on theCrest, before the jerk crashed out his Bimmer crossing the dbl yellow and hitting an on-coming jeep and causing injuries, but I digress....

I rode through Malibu alot last summer and fall with no problem with LEO because of the pipes. Saw plenty of officers. But when we held up that liquor store they got a little irritated.[sm=joke.gif]
