I guess all us Low Rider guys think alike. Yeah, they are some fun and practical motorcycles!
Without all the heft of my Road King.

test rode one along with a roadking and the fatboy and fatboy lo. the switchback just felt like a smaller version of the roadking. i didn't like it when going into turns. it reached a point in leaning like it was going over..

I never even got to the point of riding a Switchback - I like the looks of it well enough but just sitting on it didn't feel right to me, it didn't fit - and I didn't want to buy a new bike and end up having to mod it just to make it feel good.

That said, I can see the niche the MoCo is trying to fill. I think the bike has some potential and I don't understand why they don't do up a Switchback Custom or something with spokes, maybe some more chrome, more of a throwback look.

Not a bad idea, but the Switchback is all about price and positioning in the model line-up. It's priced at a minimum $2,000 less than Harley's touring models. If the Switchback is tarted up with spokes, more chrome, other throwback bits, price moves closer to a Road King. I don't think folks would go for a miniature Road King.

That's a laugh. I went from a Switchback to a Roadking both with tallboy seats and there was way more room on the Switchback. I actually liked the way the Switchback road and handled better but between the harsh suspension and bad vibes and the fact I wanted cruise control, I ended up with the Roadking.

yeah, my super glide sure does, i even made the mistake of putting some progressive shocks on that were 12's. lowered the bike an inch and it was a rough ride after that.. it's now forsale. fun bike but i needed more comfort for long rides
