Default is this what we think it is?

Hi, I need help with the VIN.

On a motor left side it says:

ID number (in a sticker):
DMW 13884 CA

AND

Stamped also to left:
59KR. 2050

the bike is disassembled at the moment

-------------------------

Please, reply if you are 100% sure of your answer.

Thx!

DMV 13884 CA...is it a blue foil tag? If so that means that at some point it was registered in the State of California, USA as a Special Construction motorcycle.

The 59KR 2050 would appear to be the original Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

Do you have the title for the motor? What does it say? A photo of what you are referring to would help as well.

Looks like a 1959 KR flattie bottom end. K models were the predecessors to the Sportsters and by 1959 were racing motors. Here's a link to Joe Leonard's 1959 KR:

Picture confirms it. That's an assigned California VIN.

doubt if you have a "national treasure" there. why not contact the state of california? they should be able to tell you exactly what you have. are you saying that you have a complete bike in a box? find someone to put it together and get it running...then you could probably find a harley nut in europe that would buy it. nobody is going to give you much money for a box of parts and pay shipping from sweden.
