Lots o grip needed on these crazy L.A. roads, that's for sure. Boots actually feel a little more soft on the joints now too, which is a gravy.

Our jungle boots in Nam had those same soles. But SoCal...please don't tell me you have **** carpeting all through your house! Just messing with you Brother!

Ha. Luckily it's just a rug and not a carpet. Belongs to my gal actually, but I inherited the thing when we decided to shack up together. And my backup boots are a pair of jungle boots I got off a paratrooper medic who served. He tells me they issued him two pair, and the pair I have are the backups he didn't wear much.
I actually don't wear them much on the bike either. They are designed for a different job than riding, as you know. Though they will work.
Those pictured aren't HD boots, dobber. They are Frye engineers. Kinda had a thin sole to begin with, and if you commute to work in L.A. traffic everyday, they definitely will wear in 5 months!
