Default Clutch cable play

Hi all had to change my clutch lever and was wondering how much play should be in the lever when depressing the lever? Any help would be greatfull.

By play do you mean distance until the clutch starts disengaging? The lever shouldn't "Flop" around in the breeze. You should invest in a service manual. Make sure your clucth is adjusted properly, search Youtube for harley clutch adjustment

Thanks for the info. I just got the ride and I will be buying a manual but wanted to know this question cuz have not got manual yet, youtube was a great help.

1/8" between clutch line ferrule and lever
