No joke........when i first read the question I would have mentioned letting the air out of the guys tire for yanking his chain.....

Guy use only front brake......turn corner in gravel.......fall down.......go boom!!!

Then I read all those serious answers so, seriously, my answer would be "just adapt to the situation at hand---every one is different"

I use both , more pressure on the front , unless on the gravel roads , then its rear only , don't even allow my fingers to rest on the front lever

I use the front much more than the rear. It is due to my sportbike upbringing.

When sitting in traffic, or during slow speed manuevers, I use the rear brake to stabilize the bike...during normal stopping conditions, I use both front and rear brakes.

If you use only the front brake whenriding slow you will be eating asphalt.

I would say I favor the rear brake, but I do use both for the added stopping power. And it's good to be used to using both in a emergency.

Drag feet and hang on tight. BTW H-D boots don't last for chit.
