rear brakes or not?

RE: rear brakes or not?
No joke........when i first read the question I would have mentioned letting the air out of the guys tire for yanking his chain.....
Guy use only front brake......turn corner in gravel.......fall down.......go boom!!!
Then I read all those serious answers so, seriously, my answer would be "just adapt to the situation at hand---every one is different"

RE: rear brakes or not?
I use both , more pressure on the front , unless on the gravel roads , then its rear only , don't even allow my fingers to rest on the front lever

RE: rear brakes or not?
When sitting in traffic, or during slow speed manuevers, I use the rear brake to stabilize the bike...during normal stopping conditions, I use both front and rear brakes.

RE: rear brakes or not?
I would say I favor the rear brake, but I do use both for the added stopping power. And it's good to be used to using both in a emergency.
