dri-slide is garbage!
I just did my 40,000 service on my Road King and I used dri-slide on my clutch cable. After about 200 miles I could barely pull the clutch. I mean it was stiff. I then laid the bike on it's side in my yard and shot more dri-slide into the cable worked it and shot more. It seemed to get easy to pull. I ride another 200 miles and the same thing. Really hard to pull the clutch.
So I dump the bottle of dri slide out clean the bottle out and then put mobile1 syn in the bottle. Lay the bike on the side in the yard and start squirting the oil in work the clutch. Within a couple minutes it is smooth as butter. I take the bike out for another 200 mile ride and it is still smooth as butter.
I would have done the baggie trick but I don't have a snap ring tool.
What I have learned from this... DRI-SLIDE is crap. Just my opinion.

You do know you are not supposed to lube the lined clutch cables ... just saying
Assuming you have a lined late model cable... cause dri slide works fine on my antique non lined clutch cable....

I've been using dri slide for about seven years on my clutch cables and never had any issues, works fine for me. You lose some credibility when you lay your bike on its side to lube the cables though. That's just not right!

The only time I've ever laid a bike on it's side was for fixing a flat on the side of the road.

Oh my god he layed his harley on it's side. I have lost all credibility in the harley world because of that. What will I do. I guess I'll have to sell my bike I have no street cred. It's not fine china it's a harley. get over yourself. I have layed my bike down a few times to practice picking it up. Nothing happened to it and I learned the best way to pick it up. You should try it sometime, even 110 pound people can do it. It's no big deal.
After using the oil my clutch has never been easier and smoother to pull. You can keep your dri-slide. I would have had more fun riding down the road and throwing dollars until I got to the 20+ that I paid for that garbage.
Yes I shook the bottle. I shook it until my arm got numb the second time I used it thinking I didn't shake it enough. Extra oil from servicing the bike. No cost and no shaking.
