Also, it does makes it easier to pull the oil drain plugs. Though, I can't figure out why the oil won't drain properly.

I lay my bike on it's side to clean underneath, it's much easier that way...
not really...haha

The guy that laid his bike on its side to lube the cables, wins the DUECHE NOZZLE of the month award for May, and its only May 2nd.

We make fun, but I wouldn't be surprised if his dealer's service writer didn't suggest it.

You DO realize that the way the clutch cable enters the transmission, the lower end of the cable is BELOW the fluid level in the tranny, and is, therefore, always oiled.

I've been oiling my clutch cables for 30 years with no ill effects. I use the same oil I use in the tranny.

OK, it's too late at night to stifle myself. Is a Dueche Nozzle a BMW part? 'Cuz if it's for a female part it's spelled 'douche'. But I'll go along with the award.
