Bleche Wite works wonders on raised white letters and white walls.

You'll probably here alot of naysayers about this BUT, I've never had an issue. I used and still use mineral spirits on a rag. With a little elbow grease they come out like new.As for it not being good for the rubber? I've never had a tire last long enough for it to be a concern.

You could try different brake pads that give off less dust.,

I 50/50 mix of Simple Green and water works wonders for me. Be careful with Bleche White if you got bare aluminum wheels.

Bleche White when I wash the bike. In between, I use "Scrubbing Bubbles Foaming Bathroom Cleaner" for quick touch-ups. Spray it on, wipe off the grime. It's cheap, and it really works-try it! Takes off the road grime/brake dust. My brother told me about this stuff-he uses it on his mag wheels.

Also, consider aftermarket brake pads. The OEM pads are terrible for shedding black dust.
