Got my saddlebag supports finally. What's the best way to secure my bags to these things to keep em from flappin around? I figure a good heaping dose of black gaffer's tape will make sure they don't move around. I have a set of these bags, and they don't any fancy holes or nothin to help secure them, just some shoe string at the ends.
Mount the bags and see where you'd need to cut a slit in the back of the bags barely above and below the support bracket.
Use a dog collar to hold them to the brackets.
I have similar bags and I just let them hang. As long as I keep something in them, they seem to say inplace. But would be interested in a good way to secure them. I dont like the cutting a slit idea, because then it allows water to get in.
Cut the slits, use cable ties and a piece of duct tape on the inside of the bag. Thousands of miles, and by the way a garbage bag to keep everything dry.
