1964 Pan Head Electra Glide
#2
Yea, sweet Ol bike. They just don't make that any more these day's. My oldest bike that I have ever had was a 70 Electra glide, a shovel but still pretty darn nice. That was a sweet Ol bike too. I still see the guy I sold it to and that was 20 years ago. It seems even sweeter yet when I see it.

Hold on there. No such thing as a 64 Electra Glide. The first electra glide was 1965 and the last year of the panhead. The "electra" in electra glide denoted the first year for the electric start. Extremely rare, the 65 Pan Head Electra glide is one of the most colectable and sought after vintage Harleys.

"ya ride a Harley ya ride the best, ya ride a mile and walk the rest"..Came from the old Harleys.
Don't get me wrong, they look great...But comparing the new bikes to the old ones?..They don't stack up. Thank God for Willie G!! Get yerself a Deluxe or RK., change a few things, and ya have a very close look with none of the hassles..That's exactly what I'm in the process of doing to my 12 Deluxe. Check these bikes out...

I went on a group ride last year and at one of the eagles clubs we stopped at a guy pulled up at on an old panhead from late 40's-mid 50's and he ended up riding the rest of the day with us. That thing smoked and leaked oil like crazy, but it never quit. Turned out he had already rode 200 miles that day before he hooked up with us. So much for that old saying.
