Great weather Day....Crap *** Ending
Well Yesterday we finally had a sunny 66 degree day here after 2 weeks of solid rain and tons of flooding. I spent most of the morning running around checking sites and the afternoon in the office listening to scoots rolling by the office, so needless to say I was anxious and crawling out of my skin to get the heck outta here and home to ride. I even sent the GF a text to be ready, ofc...I had to wait about 15 minutes after I got home for her to be ready...no big deal.
We headed out and were just puttin on the back roads soaking in the sun and enjoying the scenery for about an hour. Passed many folk out riding and just walking along the way and everyone was smiling big for it really was our first spring day. At some point the GF let me know she needed something to drink so I rolled into one of the small local towns to find a gas up to get her some gatorade. As we departed the place I had noticed a car following a bit to close for my comfort. I hit the brake light a few times trying to alert the driver. Finally got some distance and thought all was fine, until we got to the stop sign and saw this &%$# 2 feet off the *** end of my scoot. I started to blow a gasket, but simply threw my arm into the air made sure the driver knew. Well we round the corner and hit the speed limit at 45 when I notice the GF moving aroound a bit and screaming at the top of her lungs...the car was like 5' off the *** end of the scoot again...I was like wtf...and started to panic because what they hell was I gonna do, I could not pull over and didnt want to speed up figuring the moran would just follow. Long of the short I was able to finally pull over...not on the shoulder mind you...way to soft from all the rain lately. I was constantly checking mirrors trying to keep an eye on this clown and yet somehow he manged to get on my ***.
When I finally got the bike to the side of the road the ***** just sat behind us like he didnt know what to do because there was traffic coming in the other direction and couldn't pass. Finally after about 15 seconds, oncoming traffic cleared, and my throat being hoarse from intense shouting...the moran dorve off. If i could of safely got off the bike I woould of given him a driving lesson, but that would of just made things worse. I was so stressed out after the incident that my legs and back were totally tensed up. We started to ride again and I let my mind think of what could of happened and this drivers stupidity....needless to say I was stressing out even more. So after aboout 20 minutes we decided my head was in no position for us to be riding due to the preoccupancy of thie drivers actions. In the grand scheme of things it was no big deal...but could of been.
How do you guys handle these situations? I think if I was alone I would of responsed differently, but with the GF on the bike I tend to put around like I am hauling Nitro. I am glad all really did end well, no one was hurt...but boy I am shocked at other stupidity of driving skills and just frustrated with the lack of common sense.

I start slowing down gradually until I can exit the roadway or they can pass. I'm not talking about slowing to a snails pace, just slow enough. Move over to the right as much as you can safely and wave them around if you have no exit. Yelling is useless.

Fortunately it wasn't a crap ending. You did the right thing by pulling over even if it took some time to find a safe spot. I've had a car right on my tail a couple times, all you can do at first is try to wave them off you, but if they don't get it then it's best to get out of their way as soon as it's safe.
