Default Bike Seats

Wish to know which seat is the best, or most comfortable seat for long riding.
I have a Street Glide.

I prefere the deep bucket style seats. Lots of treads here on the same subject. Everyone's a$$ is different

That's a tough one since everyone is built differently. One will claim a seat is the best they've ever ridden on and another will say the opposite.

If you can get to a bike rally or show near you, most of the major seat manufacturers will have booths.
Plus you'd see what people are running and if you ask, most would let you sit on their bike to get an idea if it seems like a good choice for you.

The Ultimate is the best seat made, period. The Mustang touring seat is good. An Air Hawk 2 seat cushion is the best if seat replacement not in the budget. Both the Airhawk and Ultimate seats allow ventilation on your backside. That is what it takes to be effective.

Why not go to your local dealer and try them all out. They have "loaners" they'll let you put on your bike to see what you like.

Lots of good seats out there. Some things to consider.

1. A wider seat is better for longer rides.

2. A seat that you sit in, not on, with decent lower back support.

3. Along with a good seat, foot and hand position is also important for comfort.

Russell Day Long generally considered the best long distance touring seat. More IBA riders choose Russell than any other seat. But it's expensive, takes time to build and tends to sit you higher. I had one and loved the *** comfort, but chose to sell and buy what I believe to be next best, a Mustang Super Touring seat.
