Default Riding pants

I am looking for protection from road rash and it's way too damn hot for chaps. What are my other options for spring summer riding?

If you want decent protection, think about getting kevlar lined Jeans like Draggin' Jeans.

Absolutely - Kevlar jeans are the way to go.

best option is not to go down!

I agree with the kevlar jeans. Leather is just too hot to wear year-round!

I have really been happy with Olympia Motorsports products.

These will do great in warm weather.

Draggin, They used to run 1 size small. I wore a 36 and needed to get a 38 in them.

Drayko Renegades are CE rated and comfortable as hell.

A bit spendy, but I found some on amazon for less than $120 shipped.

The most comfortable I've worn are Diamond Gussets, but they aren't CE rated. Also in the $100-$120 range.

^^^^^^That! Draggin' Jeans are made in the USA and fit like regular jeans. Many Kevlar jeans are too baggy for me. These are not.

If your going the riding jean route try the Diamond Gusset jeans. I never had the riding jeans but there normal jeans and flannel lined jeans are excellent quality. You measure the Jeans that fit you best, order that size and the ones you get will fit just like your best fitting pair! Get on their mailing list and they occasionally send out notices of price reductions, last one was February for 25%.
