Though I do not have a commander, I can tell you to try it first and see how the bike runs. If it's same temp or cooler your safe. Read your plugs. Is it smooth and no decel pop? You get the picture. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes not. Hope yours works right from the git-go

Call Fuelmoto and tell them what you have. They'll install a good map in your PC5 before they ship it. Worked for ME.

I have a PCV on my Limited. Dynojet has a map that matches my setup exactly (SE air cleaner and Rinehart slipons). As long as you find a map that's close to your setup it shouldn't damage your engine.

You'll be fine with a canned map as long as it is for your configuration. I would trust any map provided by FuelMoto.

Default commander V

I put one on my Heritage and it did fine. I have Rush slipons and K/N cleaner and had the guys at fuel moto install both a performance and economy maps. It worked fine but the bike didnt respond like I felt it should nothing serious but just that feeling. So I had it dynoed and wow what a difference. It really improved the throttle response and really just wants to run down the highway. So I would say,in my case the canned maps were fine but the dyno made it even better.
