Default Today was the coldest day I've ever ridden

It was 26 when I left the house.
Had to go to the dealer (about 35 miles from home) for an inspection and new rear tire.

I did notice the engine was running alot leaner in the cold air and had to keep the enricher 1/2 out most of the way! It was coughing pretty bad without it.

It was -7c here this morning (20.6F), waited till it warmed up to about 2c (35F), bundled up and went for a ride. The bike didn't seem to mind it, it was great just to get out......have to be really careful on the corners though, still a lot of road sand. Supposed to warm up a bit this week with lots of rain....What a difference from last year!

I rode back from Augusta North Country yesterday to Machias. It wasn't as cold as what you had today, but I had to ride 130 miles. I stopped in Ellsworth for a hot coffee, then back on the road, by the time I got home it was about 48 degrees. Bike ran great all the way.

28* is the coldest that I recall riding in. Kinda scary here in Western Wa. where theres a lot of moisture.

My bike gets horrible gas mileage in the cold. Other than that, it seems to run fine. Even in the lower 20s.

I hear what you are saying. A little over a year ago, it was cold, in the 20's. I had been thinking a about buying a new scooter come spring. Any how, I had a week day off so I got a wild hair and rode to my dealer and traded my bike in on a new one. Got a pretty good deal. Life is good!
