I just started to run with the bright beam on during day light, since I have noother lights.
Think it would be handy to have lower mounted running lights.Running lights seem, to me, to be the most noticeable, when they and your headlight form a triangular patten.

I may be wrong, but I don't think it's legal to have the passing lamps on with the high beam.[sm=confused06.gif]

I also run a Headlight Strobe. I've been using this one for the last 3 years
It makes my headlight more noticeable compared to a regular white light.

What does the strobe do? They didn't really say much about it on the link.

It just makes you more noticeable to the human eye. If you look at the headlight straight on, you see white light, a couple of degrees off center and you see a 3 color rainbow of dinstinct color.CHP's and the locals don't give me any grief about running it.

Hmmmm......let me try to explain this easily.

Here's the problem - people (everyone) will not notice a high beam or low beam headlamp unless they are looking FOR it. The strobe is a very bright source compareable to the sun. When the strobe lamp is flashing you have 10+ times more light output than a high beamhalogen bulb. People will tend to notice the flashing of the strobe lamp easier during daytime hours.

Your best defense in the daytime is LOUD EXHAUST.

It didn't look like an actual bulb to me. Am I wrong?

Without lamps I agree, run with the high beams. But, on my RK if I turn the high beams on the lamps turn off and I think it is more visible with three lights up front instead of just one bright one.
Yep, I agree.
