Default More power

HI I dont know if this is the right place to start this or not, but here it is. I have done a SE intake, true duals from full sac, and I have a pro tuner from HD. I was wondering what would be the best way to get more power with a limited budget. I dont want to go out and buy a 120r motor just work on the 103 I have now. Thanks for the help.

Number 1 - Do the work yourself.

Cams are relatively cheap and a displacement upgrade can be done by buying pistons and having the jugs machined. You can have your stock heads ported and polished as well.

Lose weight.

Remove weight from the bike.

Really, there's not a ton of stuff out there that will make you faster without the money.

CAMS.

From where you are that's the cheapest power, like a few hundred bucks cheap. Talk with a tuner and do some research on what cam suits your riding style. You will be surprised with how much they will wake up that 103. Not much labor either, easy install for someone with basic mechanical knowledge.

If you're going to go any deeper in the pockets for more power you can start with headwork and higher compression pistons. I wouldnt bother bigger bore, the only bigger drop in cylinder size is a 107" and i dont think the advantage it justifies the cost.

Get cams. The cheapest and easiest way to gain power is intake, exhaust, cams and a tune. Head work is next, but that's also the most expensive. As Frankenbagger said a big bore kit ups things to, but if it were mine with a 103 and all you already have, I'd go cams.

I have been where you are at. This is the way I got to where I'm at now.

10.5:1 compression and add SE 259E cams. Here you are looking at
600 bucks + labor

Just slip ons will work wonders,,, Of course I'm kidding but those jet engines would certainly give you some top end.

+1.

Cams are a (relatively) inexpensive upgrade. Add that to what you've done with a decent tune (or the right map) and you'll be happy. Lots of guys are happy with the SE-255 in the 103.

Cams and a good dyno tune will work wonders.
