Default Who has heated grips? Which ones?

I have a circulation problem so my hands get cold and go numb much quicker and warmer temps than normal people. Riding with huge gloves is annoying, so I'm looking into heated grips. What do you have? How do they work, and would you buy again?

I've heard the harley ones break a lot, and are expensive.

Havent heard too much about heat demons, but the little I have heard has been good. Kind of expensive, but not too bad and looks really nice. http://www.heatdemons.com/Harley-Dav...mers_c_93.html

Then there's snowmobile heaters...they're MUCH less expensive. I guess putting a button somewhere would make it a bit less convenient than other routes, but...http://www.google.com/shopping/produ...d=0CLkBEPICMBE

I have the ones like they put on the ultra limiteds. They work great and don't have to turn them too high. I think when they have a metal rubber mix you don't get as good of conductivity as a solid grip. My opinion.

I have the Harley supplied grips on my Ultra Limited. They work really well, and I have had no problem with them in the year I have had it so far. On my Dyna I put "Show Chrome" heated grips on, and they worked very well also. I would say though that without a fairing you would be a lot better off with heated gloves instead. I was never happy with the grips on the Dyna - my knuckles/fingers were freezing and my palm was hot, and it wasn't a pleasant feeling. Just my experience.

I have the Harley ones as well, work good but heated gloves would be better to get all around heat as grips will only heat your palms

I made my own out of an old heated blanket, can't get any cheaper than that.

HD grips here too, the first pair went six years, 70,000 miles. extended warranty replaced them. I wouldn't own a bike without them.

I've had them before but even with a fairing the back of my hands froze. Gloves are much better.

I had heat demons on my 06 ultra. They were very hot and heated quickly. I have harley grips on my cvo ultra. They don't get as hot or heart as fast but are adequate after a few miles.

On my last two Ultra's I had the HD grip heaters. Neer had a problem with them and they keep my fingers plenty toasty.

I've had Heat Demons on the RK (with stock grips) for a year, and they work great. I like 'em because they're good to go with the push of a button, and I use them even if it's just cool out. You could always augment with heated gloves later...best of both worlds.
