Huh?
Say you're single and start dating a woman. She know you ahve a bike, but really doesn't care for it.You get serious and she says "the bike has to go, cleatus!!. I wnat us to betogether forever.I love you. Do sexy time and get rid of bike"etc, etc, etc.
A friend of mine had this sitaution come up a few years back. He sold the bike. Got divorced a year later and just now bought a new street glide. I told him the woman just wanted to control him. He dismissed the advice and paid for it emotionallyandfinancially. He recovered, but not many do.[&:]
I'd tell her to hit the road...literally.

If it is not to get money to save their life (or something like that), no one could get me to sell my bikes. Playing the safety card fails b/c I could die walking down the street or driving my car.
...I may just jog w/scissors, but that's it.

Sorry to hear about your pal.I'm glad he pulled through and got another bike.No way am I selling the bike.I've been on 2 wheels since I was 6 and plan on riding for the rest of my life.Previous girlfriends have left me because I spend toomuch time and money on bikes. It was never a safety thing with them. They just didn't like being second to my bike. They always compared how much time/moneyI spent on the bike vs. what I spent on/with them.Sorry future ex-girlfriends,but I'll always have a bike!

I would only sell the bike if I absolutely had to for financial reasons (like if it was between the house or the bike). With that one exception, my wife and I have reached an agreement that the bike is like part of the family and here to stay eventhough she's not all that interested andhardly ever rides.
