Default Oil dripping from airfilter

The intake on my bike has a K&N air filter, and after about 1 month it was white already. It seems the oil is all just slowly seeping to the bottom of the air filter and dripping off. Has anyone else had this problem? I cleaned and re oiled today so I can see what happens. Any thoughts?

yes, the red colored oil on the filter. Not oil from the breather bolts.

Typically, that happens to me as well. I try to wipe off the excess oil before putting it back on my bike, but always end up taking a rag and wiping the bottom inside edge of the air cleaner cover after a couple of rides.

2 options I know of are the S&S stainless mesh and the one I run is the SE oil less washable synthetic media filter. No more oily mess and filters better too.

Don't over oil a K&N filter. Instructions are on the can. I like K&N's but you need to take care of them right.
