How deep of a discount do you get on parts at your local dealership?

RE: How deep of a discount do you get on parts at your local dealership?
Where I bought my bike the only discounts I get are on the sale items but I vowed never to buy from them because dealer wouldn't waive the $200 paperwork fee, I did all my own financing, told them when I was going to be in to get the bike (they told me the bike and paperwork would be ready), went in at 2:30pm and wasn't driving away until almost 6pm(bike wasn't ready and paperwork was wrong and had to be redone). First time I ever bought a bike that the dealer didn't give me at least a year of 20% off parts & acc. Guess I'm lucky they gave me a shirt, lol.
I have a small atv and bike repair shop near me that I get my parts. He charges me 20% over his cost.

Typically 20%.....shop the dealers in the area, lots of sales from Sept till April.............if no sale, 10% at the local one.

Locally I get 15% for being a HOG member.
Back at the dealer I bought my bike from, manager still remembers my name, asks about everything, and is always happy to see me. I guess he doesn't sell to 20 year olds very often. He'll usually have the guys throw a 10% discount at me. Good enough if it's a small item.
But if I'm buying lots, I'll be calling Zanotti.

My dealer gave me 10% for X number of days after my purchase...after that it's retail.
I'll order from Chicago Harley or other. I told my sales guy I would be doing that and he looked at me like he never heard of the internet. He said he gets an employee discount so doen't bother. Seems they might keep a breast of that kind of stuff.

Go to the link "Shop on-line' and plug in those HD part numbers.
I've saved a bundle with them and the shipping is not at all bad if you are ordering several items. I thnk they have a min. order now, but it has been a while. Hey, No tax outside of PA either.
