I want to get rid of my gun slinger style seat and convert it to a saddle seat with the ability of putting on a passenger seat and back rest. All with the appeal of a solo seat and the convenience of QDs. Is this possible on a 1999? Seems like everything that I want starts for bike 2000 & newer. Any comments?

 

I can't speak for a '99 but I went through seats on mine and ended up taking them back (even a mustang)... the end solution was to use a stock seat, peel back the leather, buy some memory foam (dense), install the memory foam over the stock foam and re-attach the leather. I can ride 8 hrs. straight and even stay seated on the bike when we stop for coffee now... no problems.
