Not sure if anyone can confirm this but I also heard Silly String is a prized item. Before you laugh, word is they use it to spray into doorways looking for booby-trap trip wires.

Just wanted to let everyone know, that this is really appreciated by the troops. ****** got me an address to ship to in December. I got a nice letter back from a group deployed in baghdad. They really appreciated the support, it means a whole lot to them. It was very very easy to do. It takes a few weeks for the packages to get there so keep that in mind.
My hat is off to ****** for organizing this for our boys. Please help him out and support our troops.

Just got off the phone with a buddy of mine who got back not too long ago. I was running this all past him and he agreed the guys love anything and everythingsent their way. However regarding what they really like he said "the only things that are in veryshort supply are good **** and booze." So pack up those shampoo bottles with some rum and clean out your **** stash.....

Son over there, (82nd abn grunt )had to send him and his boys the same stuff I used to have to buy and horde, cleaning brushes, rags, patches, and breakfree (cleaner/lube). These basics have been short supplied forever and always will be, nature of the beast.Candy, snacks,literature (****) and other items are nice to have in the zone but the cleaning equipment is vital in the desert environment.He also requests boxes of note pads and pens, the Iraqi children like the pens and pads more than candy.Excellent effort ******.

Dang, I never thought about the cleaning supplies...a trip to the gun shop today is in order!!!
