What do you use to remove the tank emblems without damaging paint?

 

Fireline fishing line. Have the tank as empty as possible and use a hair dryer to heat the emblem up. Just slide the line behind the emblem and slowly "saw" it off.

 

After the emblem is off, use Goo Gone to remove the remaining residue.

 

Dental floss works also.

and that goo gone is a lot of work, this works much faster!

 

Oh man, can you come over next friday? I have the emblem on this nightster that has to come off. I even have an air tank if you need that too.

 

If you plan on keeping it off let me know im trying to buy a pair of emblems for my tank

 

My emblem is held on with two screws...

I would have to use harleycharlies method!
