i was lookign at a nice carbon fibre beanie in oct at my local dealer they had it retailing at $129.95, went in a couple weeks back when they started a 50% off sale on everything in stock, thinging i was gonna get the beanie, look at the price tag it is now $182.35 hahah sales my ****

Harley instituted that rule over a year ago. Dealers can give you a 20% discount but they aren't allowed to advertise it. Old news.

one of the dealers near me is advertising on facebook and the local radio stations a 30% off St. Patty's Day sale weekend on any Harley branded item including parts. wonder how MOCO feels about that

Well, I didn't pay attention last year. All the parts I added weren't available at the dealer, (like my Rivco passenger pegs, which are way better quality, and design than the Kuryakyns). But the HD dealers get penalized for carrying Rivco over Kuryakyn.
I didn't realize the normal rules of sell what the customer wants, don't apply at Harley dealers. It is sad to have a good, honest dealer, have to play games to keep some executives who never rode until they were CEO of HD, happy.

Greedy...thats when they make a bike that works and then take all the stuff off it and put crap on it then sell you the stuff that works.......

My wife tagged along with me last year to the local HD. While I was getting a seat screw, she found a tanktop she liked. 56.00, are you effing kidding me? Needless to say, my wife did not want it after she saw the price.

Looking in the catalog, lot of parts have " superior- better, then stock" in the descriptions. Heck of a business plan on FOMO's part, and works like a charm. So far........

Senior moment...ment to say "i returned to buy those things, and found that they raised the prices and the sale price was more then the original price."
