Just curious...I'm bored, it's cold, and about to snow 6-10 inches.

I've done a couple. It's kinda neat to see all the bikes, and ride with tons of them as well...

 

I will do them if it's for a charity or cause that I support. Won't do them just to do them.

 

There are two local charity rides that I do ever year..

 

The USMC Toy Run is at the top of my list. I do as may Charity things as I can afford to do each year...

 

Toys for Tots and Patriot Gaurd ride for families of troops

 

Toys for Tots for sure, and others, depending on what the charity is for.

 

Ialways do a feweach year. The numbers of riders is growing fast. I love theendless string of bikesandhelpingout certain charities.
Riding on the interstatepast couple of years hasscared me at times due to inexperienced riders.Everybody goes tearing down the road andthen somebody up front slows down.The people in the middle and rear come flying up on the ones in front who have slowed up. Theres no where to go, bikes going too fast,locking upthe brakes,passing, changing lanes very quickly,etc.
Now, Iride in the back of the pack. I know of no accidents with the rides I've been on,maybe its just me.I hope none of you have experienced this.

 

American Legions ALR rider here we do alot of charity things. Over Thanksgiving we delivered 28 turkey baskets to the poor they are supprised when a bunch of motorcycle riders pull up and great them. toys for tots an USMC toy run and OWW are the most rewarding.

I don't like riding with people that only come out for the group rides.
Not that all of them are 'amateurs', but enough are and they scare me.
I give $$$ to charity instead.

 

We ride the Miracle Ride for Riley Hospital every year. And a few misc Poker Runs that may come up. But never miss the Miracle Ride.
